About this service
Growing Opportunities supports at risk pregnant women in creating healthy lifestyles for themselves and their babies by providing supplements, counselling, education, resources and connecting them to community services. A home visitation service is delivered by program staff, which includes a nurse, support worker and life skills coach with access to a nutritionist. A client who is breastfeeding is eligible to receive support until the baby is 9 months old. Service area included Strathmore, Wheatland County, and the Drumheller area.
