Are you looking for ways to meet new people while learning new recipes and having a little fun? Please join us in the Beyond the Plate Community Cooking Group. We have included some commonly asked questions below about the group. Strathmore Child, Youth and Family Hub, 170 Brent Blvd. Every Wednesday from 10-3 pm starting February 5th, 2020. What is the group? It is an 8 week community group that focuses on developing a variety of cooking skills including: meal prepping, budgeting, nutrition, eating and cooking with children, and healthy twists on favourite recipes. Who can attend? Anyone who lives in the Wheatland County area wanting to participate in a family friendly group. Are children able to come? Yes, child care can be provided. What if I do not drive? Transportation can be arranged for this group, please inform staff when registering. Do I have to sign up for the full 8 weeks? No, it is not necessary to attend all groups. However, we do encourage attendance. Is there a cost? There is not cost for this group. How many people can register? We have capacity for five families. I have allergies/dietary restrictions can I still participate? Yes, please inform staff when registering and we will do our best to accommodate dietary needs and restrictions.
