About this service
Family violence is more than just hitting. There are many different types of abuse and all of them have lingering effects on men, women and children.
This program is designed to increase community awareness of family violence and its effects on men, women and children. Our mandate is to lessen violence and abuse in order to create a healthier community.
Parkland Turning Points offers a one hour audio visual presentation with interactive learning to community groups at no charge. Our day, evening or weekend presentations include topics such as, the definition and types of abuse, myths and truths about family violence, cycle of abuse, characteristics of abusers and victims as well as the effects of family violence on men, women and children.
