About this service
Vanderwell Heritage Lodge has 40 Lodge units and 8 Designated Assisted Living units receiving support from Alberta Heath Services. Units are bachelor suites ranging from 385 to 608 square feet, and are targeted to functionally independent seniors 65 or older. Rent is based on room size and ranges from $1097 to $1385 month. Rent includes all meals, housekeeping, activities and internet service. LSLRHA receives funding from three areas: resident rent; requisitions from the local municipalities and community groups; and the provincial government Lodge Assistance Program (LAP) grant for low income seniors. Provincial regulation stipulates that clients must be left with $315 disposable income.
