Sunset Homes, part of Grande Spirit Foundation, offers senior housing in Sexsmith, AB. The foundation provides three types of units: self-contained apartments, enhanced apartments, and a lodge, each with varying levels of services. The housing is aimed at senior citizens who are at least 65 years old and can live independently, with or without assistance from community agencies. Various utilities and facilities are included in the rent, with additional fees for electricity, cable, and parking. Potential services include meals and housekeeping. Grande Spirit Foundation, which also operates other housing sites, was recognized as the Most Outstanding Affordable Senior Housing Project in the World in 2015. A new facility, Lakeview, is under construction in Clairmont, Alberta.
