About this service
The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta (SSA)'s mission is To improve the quality of life for those affected by schizophrenia and psychosis through education, support programs, public policy and research. We are a provincial organization that operates through branches located in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Camrose. We also have a Family/Caregiver Support group running out of Grande Prairie. We offer programs and services in person, over the phone, and online to ensure all Albertans have access to support. All of our programs and services are confidential and available at no cost. Community education presentations by individuals with lived experience are available to community groups and schools. In addition, Starry Night is a powerful play written and performed by actors living with schizophrenia, and available for corporate events and conferences. Supportive Housing is also available in Edmonton and Red Deer. Visit our website for more information.
