About this service
The Domestic Abuse Response Team offers crisis response for patients experiencing domestic violence 24 hr/7 day per week at the RDRHC Emergency department. The DART (Domestic Abuse Response Team) supports patients in providing 24 hour safety planning & immediate crisis intervention. The team expedites patient connection with the Outreach Centre services such as:
- housing
- legal aid
- counselling
- drop in classes
- client intake
- assist in contacting RCMP & CFSA (Child and Family Services) as needed
- connect with Suicide Information Services if required
