About this service
A Gathering Place is a Clubhouse for individuals (18+) living with mental illness. AGP operates within the guidelines of the Clubhouse International Model: focusing primarily on promoting wellness of the members. A Gathering Place, through hits activity-focused programming and the Work Order day, strives to promote a feeling of dignity and respect in the members, as well as, working with them to improve their quality of life.
The Clubhouse "Work Order Day" Consists of five work units designed to help the members learn new job skills and /or hone existing ones. This includes Concession, Reception, Clerical and Kitchen.
Goals of the agency:
- Promote the wellness of members in a fun and creative atmosphere.
- Foster a relaxing environment would be free to socialize and participate in recreational activities of their choice.
- Create a Community that supports individuals living with mental health concerns work towards their full potential.
