About this service
The program provides parent education, consultation, and support to improve parent-child interactions; strengthen parenting skills and knowledge, improve communication skills; and enhance problem-solving skills within the family. Parents may access individual and group positive parenting programs such as Triple P and Systematic Training for Effective Parenting of Teens. The program also offers a series of free mini educational workshops on fundamental skills for healthy family relationships to parents three times a year in partnership with the Red Deer Native Friendship Society and the Canadian Mental Health Association. The workshops are free, but pre-registration is required prior to the onset of the workshop.
