About this organization
Citizens on Patrol (C.O.P.) is a group of citizens who participate in a community based crime prevention, observation and reporting suspicious activities while on patrol. Volunteers work closely with the local detachment and complete mandatory training in surveillance and observation techniques, note taking, as well as safe patrolling practices. Please consider helping out your community and join COP. You must undergo security screening conducted by the R.C.M.P. COP members are asked to dedicate one shift a month which can range in duration between 2-4 hours and participate in COP meetings and training activities. Applications are available at the Town of Olds Administration Office or the Olds RCMP Detachment.
