About this service
The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) is a FREE service available to eligible residents who have low income and a simple tax situation.
The service is offered through the Okotoks Family Resource Centre and is a collaboration between FCSS and the Canada Revenue Agency . Volunteers are screened through the Okotoks Volunteer Resource Centre and are trained by the Canada Revenue Agency to prepare simple tax returns (via e-file when possible).
- Available from the beginning of March until the end of April each year.
- Serving the communities of Okotoks, Turner Valley, Black Diamond and Foothills County.
While most returns are done during tax season, volunteers are available throughout the year to assist.
