About this service
An assessment for Language Disorder involves testing the child for both receptive language (the ability to understand what others say) and expressive language (the ability to express thoughts). A Language disorder may occur in children with hearing loss and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ASD, ADHD, and learning disabilities. A language disorder can also be acquired after a person has had a neurological illness or a traumatic head injury.
