About this service
Are you between the ages of 15 and 30? Are you having challenges finding or maintaining employment? Then the YouthWORKS! Program may be the one for you!
In our program you will learn:
Effective communication skills
Goal setting and decision making
Self-esteem and self-awareness
Career exploration and development
How to be a valuable employee
Resume writing & Interview skills
Cover letter development
Problem solving
Budget development
Healthy work/home balance
First Aid/CPR and WHMIS Training
Participants cannot be attending school and must be available to attend the in-class paid training from Monday to Thursday from 8:30am- 4:30pm. YouthWORKS! includes six weeks of paid in-class group training directly followed by six weeks of paid work experience with an employer of interest to you. This program alternates in start dates between our Medicine Hat and Brooks locations. Please contact the office for upcoming dates in your area!
