About this service
Purpose:
Provide employer-delivered, work-site training opportunities to individuals with barriers to employment
Provide work experience opportunities at a worksite for individuals with limited or no work history
Provide a paid work experience opportunity as an option for individuals to keep a job
Designed to help industry professionals transition into new careers/industries
Individuals must be:
18+ and been out of the regular K-12 school system for 12 consecutive months
Unemployed
Legally entitled to work or train in Canada
Ready willing and able to work full time
Must have a reasonable employment goal and be labour market destined
Preference will be given to EI Eligible or EI Benefit recipients
