About this service
Addiction and Mental Health is a community based service providing free services for children, youth, and their families dealing with mental health and/or addiction issues. Services are provided in individual, family, and group settings.
Mental health problems are health conditions that can cause changes in thinking, mood, and/or behaviour. They can also cause changes in the way a person thinks, acts, and their ability to carry on daily activities such as work and relationships.
Addiction problems are characterized by cravings, a loss of control of amount or frequency of use, and compulsion to use despite the negative consequences. Addiction can include alcohol, drugs, gambling and tobacco.
We offer prevention and promotion services to raise awareness, educate, and provide information about addiction and mental health. Our goal is to prevent or delay the onset of addiction and mental health issues.
