About this service
The Canadian Mental Health Associations (CMHA) peer-to-peer family support group is for parents and caregivers of children or young adults experiencing a mental health concern or addiction. Formal diagnosis by a doctor is not required for caregivers to attend.
This program offers compassionate support from a peer, who has "been there" as well as a CMHA staff member. Specific information and resources will be shared which will assist you in your care-giving while maintaining your own mental health.
Caregiver Connections provides community education, one-on-one peer support, online support groups and a drop-in support group. There is no fee for this service. For more information, call 587-801-8113.
