About this service
The purpose of the Woods Homes Youth Support Navigator Program is to provide support to youth 12 to 24 who need help navigating the youth serving system in Lethbridge. Our ultimate goal for those who are assisted through the program is to be connected to the appropriate supports throughout the community.
As Support Navigators, we will ensure the youth will be connected to the right people at the right time. Rather than just providing referrals, we will work to ensure that warm transfers take place. We will be there to introduce youth to supports and assist them in following through with appointments. We understand that a barrier for youth is to meet new people, fill out paperwork, and tell their story over and over. Being attached to a navigator will ease some of those anxieties as we can walk through those intake and referral processes with them.
