United for Literacy - St. Paul School Small Group Tutoring

United for Literacys literacy support for school-aged children in Lethbridge, Alberta takes place in the 2022-23 school year in partnership with St. Paul Elementary School. United for Literacy provides St. Paul Elementary School with individualized supports to students in Grades K to 6 who are at risk of falling behind, to build their literacy skills and increase their engagement and confidence as lifelong learners. Our goal is to help students improve their reading skills, create meaningful personal relationships with students, and to instill a love of reading. United for Literacy staff and volunteers provide direct, once or twice weekly, literacy support for the following: Grade 1/2 students - 1, 30 minutes session per week Grade 3/4 students - 2, 30 minute sessions per week Grade 5/6 students - 1, 30 minute session per week This program is assessment-based using the Fountas and Pinnell system.

K to 6 school-aged children in Lethbridge, who are at risk of falling behind.
