About this service
The main objectives of the project are: diverting youth with FASD from the Criminal Justice system, where appropriate, making recommendations regarding preventative remedies / sentencing to the crown/court, providing advocacy for the family, the school and the community in order to influence case management for youth affected by FASD, identifying high-risk youth and their families and connecting them with appropriate services and supports, increase the ability of police officers, crown prosecutors and other service providers to recognize FASD, and appropriately serve them in the community.
