About this service
Individual lives in own residence with a roommate of choice, or with a roommate of choice in the roommates residence. Roommate is a contractor who provides support in all areas of daily living and who shares the residence and expenses on a 24 hours basis. The roommate is contracted by the Society and the individual/ individuals guardian. The roommate is not considered staff, but is paid monthly for the support they provide and are expected to fulfill their contractual obligations. Roommates will provide support and training to individuals as necessary and as indicated in the individuals Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
