About this service
Our Newcomer Settlement Services program is to assist newcomers with daily life and adjusting to living in Lethbridge. We provide individual and group services in over 40 languages. Our friendly and experienced settlement practitioners can help with:
Orientation and Information - Sessions on Canadian life and culture, Canadian law, transportation, finances, education and the school system, housing, and health care services Referrals - Links to other LFS services, community resources and services such as banks, health, cultural, recreational; language learning and legal supports Documentation - Assistance filling most government forms and benefits Interpretation - Help with interpreting and translating information and documents Community - Connect with community and volunteer opportunities .
