About this service
The Pet Safekeeping program is dedicated to helping victims of family violence leave abusive situations, imprisonment of owners, and emergency healthcare visits by providing temporary care for their pets. The Pet Safekeeping program bridges the gap between animal services and human services to maximize the effectiveness of animal care while their owner is receiving help. The Safekeeping program is initiated by surrounding agencies throughout the City.
Although we are only mandated for the City of Lethbridge, if you are a pet owner in crisis in the surrounding area of Lethbridge, please contact One Family Welfare at (780-447-3600 ext 3750) or email them(petsafekeeping@albertaspca.org)
