About this service
COVID-19 UPDATE: The River House program will continue to do everything within our power and means to remain operational during this unforeseen event. We will keep you updated as much as possible throughout this process.
River House is a PSH Project that provides a home and wraparound supports for chronically homeless, functionally geriatric males who are struggling with chronic addictions, mental health, and/or physical health issues. In addition to the above mentioned criteria, many of the current residents have developmental disabilities and/or FASD. Admission to the program is driven by an inter-agency placement committee who score and offer available placements to the most complex and vulnerable individual referred. The River House offers a managed alcohol program (MAP) as one of its key Harm Reduction strategies. The River House is licensed under the Province of Albertas Supportive Living Accommodations Licensing Act and follows the principles of Housing First.

Male. Physical and/or mental health challenges with chronic substance dependence.
