Not everyone who experiences sexual violence wants to report the assault. That is your choice. However, you, your family or friends, may feel a need to seek out support to assist in your healing. Generalized support can:

  • Help you develop grounding techniques to deal with triggers
  • Validate your progress as you heal
  • Provide help and guidance
  • Be an advocate in supporting you to address other areas in life that may have become adversely impacted as a result of the sexual violence
