About this organization

The CVITP is a collaboration between community organizations and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Community organizations host free tax preparation clinics and arrange for volunteers to prepare income tax and benefit returns for individuals with a modest income and a simple tax situation. The CRA CVITP coordinators will guide the organizations as they deliver the program, and offer training and tax software for the volunteers. Each year, over half a million returns are prepared by CVITP volunteers across Canada.
