About this service
The Phoenix Preteen Workshop is a free mental health program offered through the Resource Centre for Suicide Prevention. Aimed at youth in grades 4-6, this workshop covers stress management, identifying feelings, nourishing healthy peer relationships, and building 'feelings first aid kits.' The goal is to strengthen the youths' coping skills and self-awareness, as well as to promote healthy relationshipsamong peers. This workshop provides an interactive learning environment and helps participants understand that they're not alone in their struggles. The program also helps create new friendships and provides tools to deal with future stressors.
