QEII - Delay the Diseases - Together We Can!

In-person and virtual Allied Health support is provided for the management of Parkinson's Disease (PD) and Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This includes assessment, reassessment, education, and treatment in-person one-on-one, as well as in-person and virtual PD/MS specific groups. The in-person services offered are as follows: - Assessment/reassessment: The majority of clients are initially seen by a physiotherapist and then referred to other services as needed. - Education is provided as applicable, and clients may be referred to the Parkinson Association of Alberta or MS Canada if desired. - After assessment, treatment options are discussed, which may include home-based therapy, one-on-one sessions with a therapy assistant or relevant allied health therapist, in-person groups, and/or Zoom-based groups (such as voice, hands, cardio, boxing, exercise, etc.). - Yearly reassessment is conducted for those who are actively receiving treatment.
