About this service
Riverstone Public School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school located on the east side of Grande Prairie, in the Riverstone subdivision. At Riverstone Public School, we are excited to serve children within the formal boundaries of the GPPSD, including Countryside North, Signature Falls, Creekside, Cobblestone, and Riverstone. We also have students attending our school from the recently annexed areas in the northeast region around Grande Prairie. We continue to offer the KinderPAL program. KinderPAL is an early learning program of choice for kindergarten-age students. The program provides all-day, everyday learning where a child has regular kindergarten programming from a certified teacher for half a day, and the other half is the KinderPAL experience: play and learn. Additionally, the YMCA offers onsite KinderCare and Younger Years, in addition to before and after-school programs. Our School Council and the Riverstone Playground Association are extremely active and visible in the school. The Council meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month and is instrumental in supporting our efforts to achieve excellence in education and foster responsible citizenship.
