About this service
The English Conversational Club (ECC) is an initiative run by the Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers (GPCN). It provides a platform for newcomers to Canada to practice English conversation skills within a small group setting. The ECC encourages diversity in participants and aims to build relationshipsamong a wide range of individuals. Attendees meet three times a week to discuss various topics influenced by their interests. Due to COVID-19, registration is mandatory to join. Apart from permanent residents looking to enhance their English proficiency, the ECC also invites volunteers to assist with facilitating and encouraging conversation. In addition, GPCN, in partnership with NorQuest College, offers a free English Language Instruction program, LINC, to eligible persons.
