The advocates aim to alleviate these difficulties by providing support services and implementing strategies like Testimonial Aids, closed-circuit television, remote testimony, and the presence of a support person or a facility dog during testimony. They also educate families about the legal process and other provisions that protect vulnerable witnesses, such as banning public and withholding publication of identifying information.
