Career Friends is an innovative program aimed at assisting individuals aged 16 and over who are suffering from health or disability issues affecting their ability to find and maintain a job, or those working fewer than 18 hours a week and wanting to increase their work hours. The program caters to a variety of disabilities and health issues such as learning difficulties, ADHD, chronic illnesses, mental health issues, etc. The services are free for eligible individuals and include job coaching, skill development, job placement negotiation with employers, on-site support and counseling, and funding for certain courses and disability-related supports. The program's job placement rate is between 50-70%, and the duration of assistance varies based on individual needs.
