The Western Cree Tribal Council (WCTC) is a First Nation organization originating from Canada's Department of Aboriginal Affairs of Northern Development. It was established to manage services once managed by provincial and federal governments, delivering them instead to local First Nation communities including Duncan's First Nation, Horse Lake First Nation, and Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. Governed by Chiefs of these communities, WCTC is led by a Chief Executive Officer overseeing employee training and all hiring decisions. Operations are based out of Sturgeon Lake with a secondary office in Grande Prairie, offering administrative support, service coordination, and delivery for community members.
