About this organization

Camp Tamarack is an inclusive and barrier-free outdoor camp located in northern Alberta. The camp offers an assortment of accessible and innovative activities intended to foster personal and social growth in a safe environment. It was initially designed by the Grande Prairie Shrine Club for individuals with disabilities. Today, Camp Tamarack is recognized for its reputable summer programs for individuals with and without disabilities. What started as a day camp has expanded into an overnight facility, housing up to 55 participants in cabins and 40 plus in teepees. The camp facilities are available all year round for renting. It is also accredited by the Alberta Camping Association, known for maintaining high safety and operational standards. The camp management and planning are headed by an experienced team, spearheaded by its President, Turk Taylor, along with a diverse Board of Directors. Camp Tamarack continues to expand and improve itsamenities and programs for a more engaging and memorable outdoor experience for its guests.
