Mcnaught Homestead Preservation Society

The McNaught Homestead Preservation Society is a non-profit organization formed in 2003 with the objective to preserve and honor the legacy of Euphemia McNaught, a significant figure in Peace River country's art history. Initiated by a wish from Noel McNaught to lease the 160-acre McNaught Homestead as a Heritage site, the society, consisting of members from the Prairie Gallery and Beaverlodge area, is committed to restoring and preserving the historic buildings, garden area, cultivated farmland, and natural habitat of the Homestead site. Empowering artists and the public with educational and inspirational opportunities, the society promotes art retreats, festivals, and workshops on-site. Its overarching goal is to conserve this collection of historic buildings as part of a pioneer homestead from the early 1900s and to establish a nature-viewing area for nature and art lovers at McNaught Lake.
