Our seniors self-contained apartments provide an independent living option for seniors 65 years of age or older who are seeking affordable housing options. Monthly rent is based on 30% of the resident's monthly income, thus they are considered "Rent-Geared-to-Income" or RGI housing. Dr. T.W.E. Henry House is a 4 story apartment building with 32 one bedroom apartments (520 square feet). The apartment building was built in 1984, is provincially owned and provides affordable housing options to seniors 65 years of age or older who are active and enjoy their independence. The apartment building is located next to Fort Saskatchewans Pioneer House, a gathering place for adults 50 years and older. Pioneer House provides a wide variety of leisure activities and is a very popular place for tenants of the apartment who enjoy getting out and being involved in their community. It is within walking distance of Fort Saskatchewans downtown business core which includes the library and civic centre, banks, churches, a major grocery store, and a city park.
