About this service
Mission: The purpose of the community garden is to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to come together where they can reconnect with the environment while they grow their own fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The community garden was built to enhance the quality of community life through gardening and growing together thereby fostering environmental stewardship, horticultural education, and recreation.
Activities: A community garden is a group of people who garden in individual plots and/or common areas. Garden patches are available for rent for a fee of $25/year. Primarily, community gardeners grow for food self-reliance, for physical activity, and for social interacti0n. Collectively the community gardeners tend the garden space.
