About this service
Talking with someone who has walked the walk, understands the experience of a cancer diagnosis and the complexity of feelings that go with hearing the words you have cancer, is invaluable. Peer Support and Program Navigation is offered daily with trained volunteers who have experienced cancer in their own lives. Trained volunteers are skilled listeners and understand that a cancer diagnosis and treatment is an emotional, mental and spiritual journey. A variety of resources and programs can empower patients and family and it is during Peer Support that the best and right timing of programs are discussed.
Individuals who are new to Wellspring are offered guidance and information on the programs, services and resources offered at no cost and without referral within this warm, welcoming community.
