About this service
Youth Employability Skills project was designed to help youth in Edmonton to prepare for future work and/or career decisions by assisting them with preparing, seeking, obtaining, and maintaining employment. The project objective was to train and prepare twelve (12) youth per intake from Edmonton for future employment and academic placement at the high school, college or university levels.
This is done through paid in-class training for 10 weeks where youth will be trained in basic computer literacy and Microsoft office skills, career and education planning, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, job-searching strategies, conflict resolution, workplace communication and Canadian workplace culture, etc.
