About this service

Nearly two decades after discovery , hereditary cancer remains virtually unknown. When Angelina Jolie made headlines with her cancer prevention journey, we hoped this would be a turning point. However, the media storm that followed rarely talked about the related types of hereditary cancer or other genes that are involved, and drastically downplayed the seriousness of being a risky genes carrier. In the years since, funding continues to be elusive, largely due to the widespread misperception it already exists out of the larger cancer organizations, even as risky gene carrier estimates grew to the staggering proportions we see today.
