About this service
This 11 week program is for parents who are new to Canada. Participants with limited English are welcome. Parents and children attend together. This group includes time for parent-child activities. Parents also spend time discussing what it is like to raise children in the countries that they have come from and in Canada. The facilitator shares information about the positive parenting strategies that are used in Canada with participants. Parents also support each other as they seek to find a way to parent in Canada without losing the traditions and culture that they value. Light lunch provided.
