About this service
The Edmonton Pride Run Endowment is a $1500 bursary given to part-time or full time students who Identify as LGBTQ2S+ and demonstrate financial need. Founded by Josh Bergman and Kent Akgungor, University Alumni and Founders of the Edmonton Pride Run, this endowment is funded by proceeds from the Edmonton Pride Run. This is the first bursary in U of A history that is specifically for students who identify as LGBTQ2S+. As a student, Bergman struggled financially and was able to continue his studies as a result of scholarships provided by the U of A. Bergman created this endowment as a means to give back and provide others with the same opportunity he had as a student.
