About this service
Queen Alexandra Place is a three-storey brick building containing 58 rooms. It is located on 108 Street just south of Whyte Avenue and is on a major bus route. Convenient on-site features include a newly renovated laundry room, exercise room, a hair salon and recreation room. For the active residents, weekly activities include regular exercise classes, bingo, card games, shuffleboard, horse racing, entertainment, pub night and many others. A variety of services are available at the lodge monthly, including VON Foot Care, Wellness Clinics, Ferguson Hearing and church services. For the computer savvy residents, there are two computers with internet access ready for use. This building is also conveniently located close to the University Hospital and a bus trip is all it takes to get to the Southgate Shopping Centre, Whyte Avenue or the downtown area. Residents can also walk across the avenue and join in activities at the Strathcona Place Seniors Centre.
