About this service
Excel operates 15 PDD community living residences in Edmonton. Personal care services are provided based on individual client service plans. Our residences are managed by Residential Care Coordinators, overseen by a Program Manager. Within each residence, staff assist clients with meals, medications, transportation, and access to community services such as the library, swimming pools. In addition staff deliver life skills training on health, hygiene, communication and behavioural issues.
If your family member does not fit the PDD criteria then they may fit criteria for Alberta Health Services (AHS).
AHS refers clients to Excel with medical issues such as Dementia, Alzheimers, Schizophrenia or Brain Injury. AHS will require a Client Needs Assessment and for more information contact the Community Care Access Central Intake to request an assessment. The 24/7 telephone number is 780-496-1300/780-496-1300.
