About this service
Funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), the In-School Settlement Support Program helps immigrant students and their families with their settlement needs. The program connects newly arrived families to services and resources in the school and the community in order to promote settlement and foster student achievement.
Schools are one of the first places newcomers go to for services in the community. In collaboration with the schools, school-based settlement practitioners systematically contact all newcomer families to orient and link them to available settlement services and resources.
