Careers - Career Planning

When students first come to our program they are required to generate a career goal utilizing our career investigation report. The first week of the program is our career planning component. During this week students will have a program orientation that gives an overview of learner expectations and what they can expect from the program and staff. Students will then learn the basics of using Microsoft Powerpoint and Microsoft Word programs through a couple of projects that they will design, using their career goal as a theme. Students will learn more about themselves by taking the Personality Dimensions assessment. On the last day students will be given lessons on study skills and will be able to demonstrate their learning by presenting their powerpoint presentations to the class.
