About this service
We believe that the healthy upbringing of our children is the responsibility of the whole community. Nitotemak is designed to meet the wholistic needs of the youth we serve through placement in a safe and loving home and the provision of a variety of services to support youth and their families. The program provides intensive, long-term, family based treatments stemming from Aboriginal traditional beliefs and values.
Nitotemak is for youth of Aboriginal heritage between the ages of 12 and 17 who have status with Children Services and require an alternative family environment. We work with children and families of all races and cultures to strengthen and unite people to provide a healthy future for all children. Foster parents are recruited in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
