About this organization
Breast Friends provides each member the opportunity to participate in the movement of Dragon Boat Racing for breast cancer survivors. To accomplish this, The Society provides the following: -A comprehensive training/conditioning program based on the research program of Don MacKenzie to improve strength, flexibility, function and cardiovascular fitness- rigourous physical activity for recovery and maintenance of health & well-being following the treatment of breast cancer, - an avenue to raise breast cancer awareness by participating in dragon boat festivals, an avenue to promote public education by making educational presentations to groups whenever possible.
