About this service
Lodge accommodation is provided to low income seniors on a priority rated points basis.
Risk, degree of independence, housing needs, and special circumstances are all considered at the time of application. The Lodge Manager will conduct an in-depth confidential interview to assess the suitability of all applicants. Eligibility Requirements for Self-contained suites are set out by the government ministry overseeing housing.
A household's total income must be below the "Income Thresholds" to be eligible for Social Housing. Priority is rated on a points system with points awarded for number of dependents, current rent to income, special circumstances, degree of accessibility, overcrowding, housing detrimental to health, shared accommodation, and utility responsibility.
