About this service
Assesses and treats people with who struggle with mental health and addiction. Provides information, consultation, referral and appointments to individuals of all ages experiencing moderate to severe mental illness and/or addiction.
Clinicians work over the telephone to help people navigate the Addiction and Mental Health system in rural areas. They are familiar with both Alberta Health Services and community based programs and will explore options, direct/refer individuals to the most appropriate resource and, if appropriate, book them into Addiction and Mental Health services.
Provides programs and services for people experiencing mental health issues. Offers short-term Mental Health Counselling (1 to 10 sessions) that include:
- assessing, treating and follow up
- providing information
- referring people to other mental wellness services
Also provides services for adults and seniors with chronic and persistent mental illness that include:
- case management
- ongoing psychiatric follow up
