SNACK ATTACK

The Chestermere Regional Food Bank engages in various initiatives to support its community. The After the Bell program focuses on providing food to young people during summer months, while the Backpack Program equips local children with necessary school supplies. They also provide snacks for the Before and After Care program, offer bread and surplus food through the Bread and Extras initiative, and supply nutritious breakfasts through the Breakfast Program. The Food Bank manages community gardens and provides fresh vegetables to clients. They also run the Good Food Box scheme, offering fresh fruits and vegetables on a low-cost basis. Through the Hampers service, they provide both perishable and non-perishable items to around eight families weekly. The Jacket Racket initiative distributes gently used winter clothing, and the Meals on Wheels program delivers affordable meals. Lastly, the Snack Attack program supplies funding and non-perishable snacks to local schools.
